Our Story

When our co-founder, Glenn Barclay, started looking for a senior living community for his mother-in-law, Bertile, he had a determination to find a place for her that would embrace her as family and that really felt like home. It was his love and care for her that inspired him to create a new style of senior living communities: with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages togetherness. As soon as you walk through the doors, you can feel the same sense of belonging and hospitality that Glenn created for Bertile. We care about everyone who lives at our community, not just as a resident, but as our own family, and it's this dedication to building a close-knit community that makes The Barclay a home.
